Beware of the Apollyon Energy

Atlanta—Kush Kingdom Publications announces a new novel by author Amanishakhete (Uh-ma-nee-sha-keet). Wrong Daughter: Night of the Blood Moon is slated for release this winter solstice on Dec. 21.

A third novel by this emerging author, Amanishakhete, has created another story with strong Black and African American female characters, including African Queens and Emperors.

Under the guise of magical realism, Wrong Daughter: Night of the Blood Moon connects the universe to the Earth world, with roots in two of the most powerful empires in the 1600s, Mali and Songhai, West Africa. From there, trace the slave trade through Portugal, the Netherlands, Albany, and New York, landing in Baldwin, Alabama where the battle will be fought against the evil dark lord and his soldiers. Where a demonic force has given life to the town using the blood of enslaved African Royalty.

In the 1900s, the fictitious town of Baldwin was built exclusively for Dutch immigrants, known as Towners, who died from an outbreak of smallpox following the hanging of an enslaved African prince in 1636. It is with his royal blood that the town founder Thonis Baldwin and the deceased towners returned to enjoy life immortal and wealth but not without impending consequences.

As prophesized in the Knowledge of Semperian, spiritual writings revealed to Africans, before protagonist Emmanuella Crumley was born into this world, her mother conspired with the village witch to murder her. To replace her with another version of predominately Dutch heritage, antagonist Mirabella Janssen.

Inside Mama’s womb, the Daughter will defend herself against the demonic force created by Apollyon and his loyal soldier Luna. Once a lightworker, Luna was sentenced to Earth for her betrayal of Semperian and allowed to right her wrong. But instead, she allowed herself to be seduced by the Apollyon energy.

Winter solstice is also primary in the story, where the blood moon will determine which daughter will make it to the Hanging Tree on the solstice blood moon in 1925. Their destinies will collide, forcing a new world created in light or one in darkness ruled by Apollyon Diabolus Fallen 17 of the third dark realm.

Fans of African-American authors like Octavia Butler and Tony Morrison, and who enjoy magical realism and fantasy, should include Wrong Daughter on their reading lists. Distributed through IngramSpark, Wrong Daughter will be sold on Amazon and a host of online retailers.
